Are you interested in getting funds to actually implement your solution to a community problem? Read on!

If you team is a regional finalist you can apply for the STEM-In-Action Grant. That’s up to $5000 to spend on YOUR project! Whether you want to explore more or get your design out there for all to see, the choice is up to you. And you can win a STEM-In-Action grant even if you DON’T make it to the National Finals!

And not only do you get the money, you also get to join us at the National Judging & Educational Event (NJ&EE) in June!

All you have to do is submit a proposal explaining how you’ll use the money and our judges will decide which teams will get the grant. And you can even work with a CyberGuide on your proposal. You can just let us know if you’d like us to hook you up with one.

If you do win the grant, you’ll have to keep us up to date on what your team is up to. Here are the things we ask you to turn in over the year:

STEM-In-Action Grant Timeline:

  • Mid-April – Stem-in-Action Grant (SIAG) application due from qualifying teams
  • Early May – SIAG grantees notified and announced
  • Late June – NJ&EE
  • Mid-September – Initial Report due
  • Early October – Team Blog #1 due
  • Early January – Mid-Year Report due
  • Early March – Team Blog #2 due
  • Following May - Online survey
  • Following June – Final Report due
